Mortal Kombat II is Coming Back Soon for PSN

A few days ago, after the 2.50 firmware update for the PS3 — the downloadable version of Mortal Kombat II on PSN went missing. Some wondered if Sony decided to remove it, while must others thought it vanished because something went wrong with the new update. Either way, the game was one of the more popular titles on PSN.

Well it sounds like it was the ladder. Sony has just released info regarding the 90’s fighter and they are working “diligently” to bring it back:

“A Mortal Kombat II specification is being upgraded in connection with the release of the latest firmware update. This is one of our top titles on PlayStation Network, we are working diligently to get this back up on the PlayStation Store.”

This has been a frustrating week for Sony, first they had to push back their biggest title of the year, LittleBigPlanet and now they have issues with their update. The new PSP-3000 has received complaints and to add icing to the cake, the PS3 hasn’t necessarily sold great either.
