A few months ago, EA and Harmonix promised to anyone who purchased Rock Band 2 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, would have the ability to download 20 free songs. A little later on, Harmonix said the DLC would be made available on November 4, but at that point they hadn’t revealed what tracks we would be playing.

Today the company finally confirmed the games that would be included in the free download. In order to start downloading, anyone who bought the game needs to look in the back of the instruction manual and enter the unique code printed on it. If you do that on the 4th, you’ll be able to select which songs you want to own — or own all 20 if you want. But if you were expecting some ‘hit’ songs — don’t, because they’re mostly indie bands. But hey, we really can’t complain — they’re FREE!
