Film Sharing Not Included with the Xbox Experience Update

What I think is by far the best feature included with the new ‘Xbox Experience‘ update is the ability to use your Netflix account to stream movies. When it was announced back at E3, we were also promised we would be able to invite friends on our buddy list and watch the movie together. It was supposed to even feature voice chat.

When the update launches on November 19, Netflix support will still be in included, however inviting friends to watch with you will not make the cut. While speaking with MTV, Xbox marketing manger Albert Penello broke the news. He called the idea “certainly the aspiration,” but we’ll have to wait longer to enjoy a flick with a friends trough Live.

Hey, at least they didn’t cancel the Netflix all together…right, RIGHT!?

  1. Well, fuck you very much, Albert.

I’m sure if they had a way of keeping us from sharing any media, they would. It wouldn’t be any different if a friend came over to watch a DVD with you, except it’s a lot less convenient.
