15,000 People Attend E for All — No Mention for Next Year’s Event…Why?
IDG is the company who puts on E3 and Last’s Weeks ‘E for All‘. The Boss of same company Mary Dolaher has declared E for All was a rousing success. Even though most media sites didn’t even bothered to cover the show that was in Los Angeles, CA.
“E for All 2008 was all about connecting great game companies with gamers and gamers with great games, and we’re happy to report that the event was a true success in this regard. In addition to welcoming back great exhibitors, celebrity gamers and partners from last year, we added a number of new programs and special features for 2008 which truly added to the excitement and energy of the show. We want to thank everyone who participated in E for All 2008 and helped make it such a success.”
Notice how she didn’t make any mention for plans for the next year show? She didn’t even talk about the possibility of a 2009 event or about its future. Why? Maybe because IDG has figured it’s not even worth having another event — considering the lack of press that was inside the show-floor. There is also the chance they’ve already decided that E3 is coming back to the ‘way it was’ and having an E for All next year is just a waste of time…
We’re probably reading way to much into the situation, but hey — who says wishful thinking is wrong?
If you’re wondering why we didn’t cover any news from the show floor, that’s because there wasn’t any…
