DLC for Mega Man 9 on WiiWare and PSN Now, Releases on Xbox Live: 10/7

Wii and PS3 owners, if you have completely played beginning to end Mega Man 9 200 times, than today should a great day for ya. Capcom has officially released their Downloadable Content for the Blue Bomber’s ninth installment on WiiWare and PSN. Here is what to expect:

Endless Attack – Test your skills on a stage without end. Try to break the record for getting the farthest. Results will be displayed in the Rankings page. Not compatible with other Challenges.

Proto Man Mode – Play the game as Proto Man. Some of Proto Man’s abilities may differ from Mega Man’s. Proto Man has the Charge Shot ability, Power Slide ability, and a shield that he can utilize to deflect bullets at enemies. However, Proto Man also takes double damage and has double bounce back when he is hit.

Although, we do like the fact of having extra content for a game that is considered ’short’ by todays standard, we just would gave liked to maybe have seen some new levels as opposed to ‘Endless Attack.’ On top of that, I think Capcom might have just screwed us. It’s not like Mega Man 9 came out 6 months ago, are you telling me they couldn’t have released these features with the original download?

Oh well, the DLC will also be available on and Xbox Live (October 7).
