EGM has uncovered a rumor that is claiming we’re going to see Disney characters in LiitleBigPlanet as some form of DLC. Not only that, other third-parties are lining up to throw their properties into the mix.

This is of course is nothing but a rumor, but because of the source of the story — it becomes pretty reliable. With Sony using their own “stars” within the company and having their likeness available in LBP, it isn’t a surprise to see other companies trying to get involved with the LittleBigPlanet craze. In terms of what capacity we’ll see Disney and other companies inside the LBP world is still unknown. Could it be as simple as just skins and possibly levels in the world or could it be much bigger? Will we see Dumbo flying around the world with his big flappy ears waving?

I’m hoping it’s more of the likeness as opposed to disturbing the LittleBigPlanet world with actual outside characters being inside the game. Media Molecule deserves to have their creative world– which is just as good as any other company, left alone.

I think we should be all perfectly fine with companies wanting to jump onboard using their likeness with other gaming companies. As long as it’s DLC and the choice becomes ours if we accept the notion of having a company such as disney included in our game we own. At least I’m cool with it and I actually prefer it.

Now, if only my Muppets can be inside LittleBigPlanet — then I’ll be in heaven.
