Bus Driver Plays a Video Game While Driving

Passenger Denita Waltz was desperate to prove her bus driver was completely irresponsible, so she whipped out her cell phone and recorded a video for evidence. You see, her bus driver wasn’t talking on the phone or even texting. He was doing something we all do on our spare time, he was playing a video game — but driving the bus at the same time. Waltz described the fear while being on the bus with KGMB in Hawaii.

“The whole experience was terrifying, he was continuously playing his video game on the bus. Continuously. At times he was driving, playing with it. At times he was sitting there playing with it.”

She added: “He was playing his video game. He was speeding on the highway. He had his legs and feet up on the dashboard.”

After she was done recording, she grabbed her son and left the bus as soon as he stopped.

Roger Morton, president of Oahu Transit Services said,

“I was appalled. Our information department referred the information to our central control group who dispatched one of our road supervisors to the scene to intercept the driver.”

As of now, the eighteen-year veteran bus driver whose name has yet to be released, has been suspended without pay and an investigation is underway about the future with the public transpiration system.

Waltz demands and expects the Oahu Transit Services will make the right call and fire the driver.

  2. At least he didn’t wreck, which is more than you could say about some bus drivers.
