Capcom has released information on what their planning for downloadable content for Mega Man 9. As we mentioned earlier in the week, they’ll have Proto Man as a playable character available on October 6th. Thankfully, Capcom has more content on the way and we have it thanks to Official Nintendo Magazine (UK). The dates are for the UK, but we believe we could see the DLC on the same day or around the same time. As for the other versions of the game, expect to see the same DLC for XBLA and PSN.

10/06/08: Endless Attack (300 Points) - A special extra stage that never ends. You have to see how far you can get before dying. This stage will have its own leaderboard in the world rankings.

10/20/08: Hero Mode (100 Points) - A harder difficulty level which sees more enemies on each stage. Doesn’t count in the world rankings.

10/20/08: Superhero Mode (100 Points) - An even harder difficulty level with even more enemies on each stage. Doesn’t count in the world rankings.

10/20/08: Special Stage (100 Points) - A completely new Time Attack stage, with a different boss at the end. This stage will have its own leaderboard in the world rankings.

After playing the the game, I can’t even imagine how hard ‘SuperHero Mode‘ could even be playable considering the difficulty it already is. But of course I’m going to download it.
