Mega Man 9 Released on Wiiware

After months of neglect, I’ve turned on my Wii and have officially downloaded the Mega Man 9. Earlier in the year, I had the ability to play the re-retro game at this past E3 and let me tell you, it’s hard. If you were born sometime in the 90’s, understand something, when 8-bit gamers mean hard, we don’t mean hard like we can’t get an achievement. We mean hard like you can’t beat the first level.

So if you own a Wii, make sure you pay the $10 right now and start downloading! And if some of you are new to 8-bit games and don’t believe it’s worth spending 10 bucks for a game that doesn’t hold up today in terms of graphics — just remember, we used to pay $50 for a game like this! And sometimes, well a lot of times, they’re ‘fun-factor’ was better than todays.

If the Wii wasn’t your system of choice, don’t fret, PS3 is getting Mega Man 9 in a few days, and Xboxers will have the ability to download it on XBLA in October.

  1. AWESOM-O !!!

Loved the Megaman Games back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Especially the music, of Megaman 2 still sends shivers down my spine, they just don’t make videogame tunes like that anymore!!
