During PAX, Sony recorded a developers walkthrough of Resistance: Retribution and uploaded to the official PlayStation Blog. When we first heard about the game coming way back at the Sony briefing during E3, we were concerned about how the controls would translate. A lot of 3rd person and 1st person shooters generally don’t work to well for the handheld. We find it difficult to control and that would plagues any game.

After watching the video that we embed above, we’re not nearly as worried when we saw it for the first time. One thing the game features that we noticed in the video is when you see an enemy, the curser ‘locks on’ or goes into some kind of auto aim. Even when you zoom in, the game slows down — which gives you time to aim and fire your weapon.

Resistance could be one of the best shooters for the PSP — maybe even one of the best games for Sony’s handheld.
