Kids who Microwaved a Cat Are Not Allowed to Play Video Games

Two sick Canadian teenage age boys have been found guilty for putting a family cat in the microwave, after they had broke into the house and smashed their belongings. During the time of the incident, the family who lived in the house were away on vacation. After microwaving the cat they left a message for the family that read “The cat is in the microwave. Nice cat. You had a nice cat.”

The Prosecutor John Laluk went into detail on how the cat died:

“The cat is described as screaming in the microwave for approximately 10 minutes while it is cooked to death,”

So what did the kids get for a sentencing you might ask. Well it wasn’t jail, nor some kind of juvenile systems.  The court order from the judge was simple, they first can’t own a pet for the next two years — which we’re cool with. But they also are NOT allowed to purchase or play video games for the next year. Even though the court-ordered psychological assessments said video games played no role in the boys actions.

I’m hoping the judge didn’t predetermined that somehow video games encouraged the kids to do this horrible deed. But instead knew the two teens loved to play games, and wanted to punish them so much, they couldn’t enjoy something they loved. Although, I think making games the punishment adds unnecessary fire to the fuel to parents and advocacy groups and their belief that gaming is hurting the youth of America and the world.

However, the kids also had to do 100 hours of community service.

And let me tell you one thing, if that was my cat they ‘nuked,’ they wouldn’t physically able to even play games!

  1. This isn’t exclusive to gaming.Marijuana, alcohol, television, prostitution, and pornography have all been under fire one time or another.I’m sure within 50 years, people will be more comfortable with video games.

As for the two boys, kids can be cruel…

  2. I believe they shoulder suffer the same treatment they gave the cat. Microwave them to death…or castrate them…

  3. Wow, what a couple of sick fucks. Thanks for ruining my day, slashgamer! And Canada.

In all seriousness though, this is one of those things that makes me reconsider the special legal status underage teenagers enjoy. I think that whole concept needs re-examination.

  4. That’s some messed up crap right there. And what kind of stupid punishment was that? No video games, community service, and no pets? For microwaving a cat alive? Those two kids should be beaten with hot oven glove.

  5. Chop their thumbs off, and they won’t be able to do either. Sick little bastards.

  6. I don’t care how old these kids are, or who they are. They should get the fucking chair.

    **fingers crossed**

    The parents should be beaten.

  7. Holy shite. I didn’t expect the comments to be like this. I too am disgusted. I don’t think the punishment fits the crime. They obviously need some real psychological help. But it proves, don’t mess with people’s pets. They get pissed.
