Smashing Pumpkins Track to Debut in Guitar Hero: World Tour

This is when we know video games are really starting to take over world. The Smashing Pumpkins new single G.L.O.W. will debut exclusively for Activision’s Guitar Hero: World Tour. According to the press release,

“This marks the first time a band has recorded a new song exclusively for the franchise which will be released afterwards, giving Guitar Hero fans exclusive access to Smashing Pumpkins music before anyone else.”

The music Industry really is betting off of songs to become popular because of the success of Guitar Hero and Rock band. But why wouldn’t they be, bands like Flyleaf saw their album sell to the platinum mark after they allowed their song “I’m so Sick” in Rock Band last December.

G.L.O.W. will be bundled with two other tracks from the Smashing Pumpkins, “1979″ and “The Everlasting Gaze.”

Watch the video up top and get glimpse of how the song sounds, before you play it this fall.
