The Sony PSP-3000 is still going to be a more efficient hanheld because of the built in microphone and a much better LCD screen. However, just like with everything, there’s going to be a pro as well as a con. Because of the brighter screen, the battery life will end drain a little quicker than the older models. While speaking with exophase SCEA’s John Koller revealed the unfortunate news:

“Battery life will decrease by a small amount, it’s about 20 minutes maybe 30 minutes and that’s because there’s a larger power draw with the brighter screen.”

I’m not going to lie, this kinda sucks. The battery life can’t even hold a candle to the Nintendo DS for the amount of time you can play. At least it’s not like the Sega Game Gear – that damn system couldn’t last 20 minutes. Now that REALLY sucked!
