Movie Director Brett Ratner Wants to Make a Film Based off Guitar Hero

/Film has information regarding movie director Brett Ratner (Rush Hour) discussing his interest in doing a movie adaption of the game Guitar Hero. Here is a teaser of what he said:

“I’m trying to convince them, but why would you have a movie screw up such a huge franchise? Not that I would make a bad movie…”

All we have to say here at /gamer is; “HA HA HA HA HA.” Wouldn’t that make it a first for him not to make a bad movie? Go over to /film to read David Chen’s article, and see more what Ratner had to say about his idea for the film.

  1. What a joke!

    From Gamespot:

“The filmmaker also told MTV his branding company, Brett Ratner Brands, helped Activision choose the name for Guitar Hero World Tour. “For instance, naming Guitar Hero: World Tour, coming up with the new Guitar Hero game name. It’s sort of like [MTV's] Rock Band. So they said: ‘Come up with a name.’ And I did, and it became Guitar Hero: World Tour.” Ratner has also included Guitar Hero in several music videos he directed, including Miley Cyrus’ “7 Things.”

Only Ratner would brag about coming up with an oh-so clever name as “World Tour” after tossing Guitar Hero footage in not one, but several music videos, one of which by Miley “I s*** sunshine” Cyrus.
