LittleBigPlanet Trailer Shows How Time Consuming the Level Editor Is
One of the things that people can’t wait for in LittleBigPlanet is the ability to create a world in the level editor. After going to E3 and have the chance to experience how to make a level, one of the things that I felt could hurt people’s opinion is how long and how in depth the editor is. This is not a game where you’ll be able to recreate the first level in Mario in a few minutes. The game has so much attention to detail, that you’ll have to work for it and spend a crap load of time to construct it.
The video above shows just how long it will take to make a simple level. While watching the video above, keep in mind that the trailer is moving at a higher speed than normal. If you’re willing to take the time to build something great, this game is for. If you have major ADD, you might want to wait for Resistance 2 for your next big game for PS3.

That seems like a pretty pessimistic and minimally informed statement. How is an in-depth editor with simple tools a negative, Jon? I mean, do you want Boom Blox or something?
Several videos hosted by developers show how fast one can make a tank or other elements for a level.
Seems to me this video is clearly being run by individuals playing for the first time at Leipzig. In the hands of someone who’s at least been through the Tutorial–the puzzles created in the video could have been done in a fraction of the time.
Plus–the video’s not going THAT fast.

The game looks good enough to warrant the purchase of a PS3
