Epic Games Just Signed a Deal With EA

WOW, EA has id Software developing games for them (RAGE). Now EA has just inked a deal with Gears of War developer Epic Games to make a exclusive IP for them. Although, we have no clue what kind of game EA will be receiving from the North Carolina company. We think it’s a safe bet that it’ll involve big guns with gigantic explosions.

Vice president of Epic Games, Mark Rein had to say this about the deal:

“Epic is excited to work with EA Partners to launch our next big IP on the global stage, EA Partners gives independent developers like Epic the muscle of a global publisher like EA, along with the focus and flexibility of a smaller team committed to working with our individual needs.”

David Demrtini, senior vice president general manager though his two cents:

“Epic is a legendary studio that is synonymous with quality and EA Partners jumped at the chance to team up with them on the launch of their next blockbuster IP.”

So after all those quotes, the only news we have is that it’s going to be completely a original game. I am excited to see what the EA/Epic deal will produce, they are two power houses working together. And lets face it, EA has been impressing us as of late.
